Maxi dresses have sporadically risen to a status of a fashion staple. What started in 1960’s as a design to grace the ankles of fashionable people around the world soon rose to be an epidemic in 1970’s with designers such as Dior and YSL leading by example.
But the flamboyance of the mini skirts and the grunge fashion slowly over shadowed this modest piece of clothing leaving no room for its subtle elegance. However, several decades later this trend soon rose from its ashes as a phoenix proving to be a quintessential in every woman’s wardrobe.
